A Streetcar Named New Orleans

A Streetcar Named New Orleans:
Inner Harbour (At the Dragon Boat festival)
(250) 213-1009
@StreetcarNOyyj

(street food app description)
Authentic New Orleans cookery serving jambalaya, red beans & rice, gumbo & roast beef po-boys. Always using the freshest ingredients and serving it up with that famous southern hospitality!

A great day for food trucks! The Dragon Boat Festival was going on all weekend and you know what that means... Food trucks everywhere!  We ordered the Roast Beef Po-Boy and Pulled Pork Po-Boy. OMG! this has to be the best Pulled Pork Po-Boy I have ever had!  It was so juicy, and had a wonderful "zing" to it from the sauce mixed in.  It is a massive sandwich and you will need all the bread to help hold everything together.  These sandwiches smelled so good they instantly start making you're mouth water... The service was excellent and was really speedy!

If you really want to try some amazing Orleans food made with super fresh ingredients I highly recommend this place.

Roast Beef Po-Boy (Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo and pickles) $10.00

Pulled Pork Po-Boy (Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo and pickles) $10.00

(street food app description)
Amazing burgers, monster poutines with hand cut fries, the Hungarian Langos and sweet elephant ears.  Top it off by enjoying this food in the inner harbour causeway with local artists, talented buskers, and amazing views.

What a beautiful day to be out and eating food on the inner harbour! I had heard of their monster poutines and thought I gotta check this place out for my first FTF.  A couple of friends and I ordered the spicy and monster poutines and were surprised by both the quality and portion size - it was great! The customer service was really good as well, they brought the food out to us at the table and even had a pepper grinder. I could barely finish my poutine it was such a wonderful combination of bacon, onions and gravy.  They hand cut fries really hold their own weight and doesn't turn into a soggy mess unlike some do.

I would recommend this little place and give it a try! I'm sure most people just walk by, but its worth stopping and getting something to eat.

The Eat Poutine: bacon, fried onions and swiss. $11.00

The Spicy Poutine: spicy beef, tomato, sour cream and green onion. $12.00

Not sure where to find a Food Truck? Or looking to see where your favorite one has set up?  Then you must try using the new Street Food App.  The App provides a small summary on each food truck, allows you to favorite them, share on social media and shows you there locations.  This App will show you food trucks based on your city location, and if you change cities all you need is to download the new city add-on (free)

This app is going to be my guide to awesome Fridays!

Welcome to Food Truck Fridays

I like food, you like food, most people do... Food Trucks can be hidden gems just waiting to be discovered, and with the insurgence of Food Trucks in the Victoria area I'm going to try and eat my way through them here on this blog, one Friday at a time.

After seeing the movie Chef (2014) staring Jon Favreau and Sofia Vergara, about a chef who loses his restaurant job and starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while also piecing back together his estranged family...  I have started to appreciate Food Trucks as more then just a place to grab a quick bite.  Food Trucks offer a huge variety of local food with comparable pricing to match.  You might not be breaking the bank, but you will be breaking in those new pants!
